On the sixteenth day I was mostly just waiting for the evening. Since this day was the last full day of the official jamboree it was the evening of the Closing Ceremony. It was a great show, apart from the sudden rainshowers that came down on us when we least expected it. Swedish artists Daniel Lemma and Sanna Nielsen came and played, Kate Ryan from Belgium as well. I especially liked her since she had been a scout when she was a kid and she wore the Belgian Contingent’s scarf on stage. She was also the one who got the party started, which is another reason for me to like her! The show was then topped off with the Swedish King. First he held a rather boring speech, but then he showed how a Swedish Rocket should be done, and then the party was up and running again. The Swedish band Europe was the last musical act of the show and they played until the fireworks started and that was that. All in all a good show, but I did like the Opening Ceremony better, actually.
